Hot And Cold Mixer

Product Description

Used to mix PVC resin with additives like stabilizers, plasticizers, and pigments. The hot mixer blends and heats the materials, while the cool mixer rapidly cools the blend to prevent degradation and prepare it for extrusion or molding.

Components

• Hot Mixer (High-Speed Mixer):
• Stainless steel mixing vessel
• Impeller blades rotating at high speed (up to 1500 RPM)
• Heating via friction and jacketed heating system
• Temperature sensors and control panel
• Cool Mixer (Cooling Blender):
• Larger vessel with cooling jacket
• Slow-speed agitator
• Water or air cooling system
• Discharge valve for transferring material

Working Principle

1. Feeding: PVC resin and additives are loaded into the hot mixer.
2. Heating & Mixing: High-speed blades generate frictional heat, raising the temperature to 100120C. This ensures uniform dispersion of additives.
3. Transfer: Once mixed, the hot blend is automatically discharged into the cool mixer.
4. Cooling: The cool mixer reduces the temperature to 4050C using water or air cooling, stabilizing the material.
5. Discharge: The cooled compound is ready for extrusion, granulation, or storage.
